Actress Taylor Hickson has filed a lawsuit against a production company after suffering an accident that disfigured her face in a film. The 20-year-old girl had to receive about 70 stitches in her face when during the recording of an intense scene she received glass cutters.
Hickson filmed the indie film “Ghostland” in December 2016 when, as part of the plot, she had to hit a glass panel. The director asked her to hit harder and the panel shredded. “During the recording of the scene, director Pascal Laugier consistently told Hickson to hit harder with her fists,” the lawsuit reads.
“At one point during the filming of the scene, and after they asked her to increase the force with which she hit the glass, she asked one of the producers and the director if it was safe to do so. The producer and the director said yes. “
In the fateful shot, Hickson hit and her head and part of the trunk pierced the glass, which caused the cuts. “The catering lady kept my face in a piece with napkins in her hands,” said the Canadian in an interview. “She used a lot of napkins for a lot of blood.”
Images of the accident are so graphic that they have been altered, but you can see a large cut from her cheek to her chin.
Hickson has received laser and silicone treatments to repair the damage, but she says she has a lot of insecurity. “After more than a year of the accident, she has permanent scars on the left side of her face,” the legal document continues. “It is unknown if with more treatment, including plastic surgery, can reduce the appearance of the injury.”
The blonde, who appeared in “Deadpool”, alleges that the injury will cause loss of income in future projects. In her social networks, she covers the scar with her hair or hand.
The movie poster shows Hickson as a broken porcelain doll.
